How Excercise Might Slow Aging

Scientists are now uncovering evidence that supports the idea that intensive physical training–beyond a simple daily workout routine–may be the secret to a healthier, longer life.
The New York Times reports that the age bracket of individuals aged 85 and older is increasingly being studied for their longevity; their diet, living conditions, social networks, and genomes are being probed for clues. The Montreal Chest Institute at McGill University, however, is studying the influence of rigorous training on sustaining a longer life.
